Kitchen appliances: global market headed toward $380 billion

The global kitchen appliance market continues to grow at a strong pace, driven by urbanization, rising incomes, and evolving consumer lifestyles. According to the latest report by IMARC Group, the sector is currently valued at $254.7 billion and could reach $380.9 billion by 2034, with an average annual growth rate of 4.58%.

Demand is driven not only by practical needs but also by the search for smart, energy-efficient, and eco-friendly products. E-commerce, increasingly dominant, and integration into smart homes are revolutionizing the way appliances are purchased and used.

Refrigerators, microwave ovens, induction cooktops, dishwashers, and water purifiers are the main segments, with refrigerators alone accounting for approximately 35% of the market.

Today’s consumers want more than just appliances: they seek connectivity, automation, and intelligence. Voice control, Wi-Fi and AI-based features, such as recipe suggestions and consumption optimization, are becoming standard. In the United States, 78% of consumers cook at home more frequently, creating concrete incentives to invest in products that make home cooking faster, more efficient, and more enjoyable.

Smart kitchen technology is thus shifting from a luxury reserved for premium products to an increasingly accessible solution, ready to radically transform the way we cook and live at home.
